| This was taken from the front of the boat & just shows the rails where they meet. Its a good picture | I couldnt resist snapping this seagull on the boat. He seemd to pose for me & would have let me get closer only the one just behind is disturbing him. He flew just as I snapped. Its against the law to shoot seagulls in BC so they get pretty tame |

| This is a view from the boat in Loughboro' Inlet. The camera doesnt do justice to mountains. It is a good picture and would look well enlarged" | In the wake of the boat. We had just come out from among those mountains. That one at the back covered in snow looked lovely in the sun" |

| A good one. It looks impossible for a boat to get through these places | I think this is a beauty. Taken from the front of the boat. |

| A view of the camp as it was when we came. We slept in the end tent. A wave has just knocked a trestle over supporting the plankwalk on to the scow | Showing the two 'scows' that our timber was brought up on from Vancouver. These scows are towed by tugs. That is the mountain I climbed |

| Another view of the mountain I climbed. It is 2500ft high & is named Mt Spencer [There are at least three mountains of this name in B.C. The one that fits this photograph best is opposite Jacksons Bay on an inlet off Johnstone Straight, though it is only 1125ft high] |
The tent on the extreme left is the one we slept in for two
nights until we got a hut built [the huts on the right of this photo and the railway in the photo on the left show that both were taken at a late stage] |
