Daniel WIGSON was born at the beginning of the 18C, probably near Balsall in Warwickshire.

He achieved settlement in the village of Tysoe, but there he was a casual agricultural labourer receiving parish relief at least twice.

He baptised his children in the village, and was buried there in 1787. One of his daughters married John BAYLIS and also spent her life in the village.
