Two years he moved to London and worked as an organ-builder in the Euston area. But he died of TB in 1846 aged only 36 and his widow moved back to Aberdeen to bring up her five young children.

One of these, George Ogilvie, became a ship's engineer and returned to London with his wife and family about 1878, where they lived in Poplar and in the East India Dock Rd.

His son Frederick became a school teacher in the East End of London and married another school teacher.

Frederick's son Roderick was born in West Ham in 1902, married in London and then moved to Shoebury, Essex, with his wife and 2 year old daughter Jean. Jean married Geoffrey MANN at S.Shoebury in 1955.
