earliest known ancestor is Donald McINTOSH of Little Dunkeld born probably
around 1680. He married Janet
ROBERTSON at Logierait and baptised at least four children while living at
Craigmouth in Logierait. One of
them, William born 1712, married Grissel MCLACHLAN at Logierait and lived at
Port of Logierait. They had nine
children including twins Thomas and Christian born in 1751. Christian married David McNAB at nearby
Dull in 1781. David
McNAB also had MACINTOSH ancestry as his mother’s name was Christian
McINTOSH, the same as his wife. His
mother may have been a daughter of Donald-8, in which case, David and his
wife Christian would have been first cousins |
